INSCRIPTIONS inscribed - in an unknown contemporary hand, in pen and brown ink, throughout: with measurements and building materials and their colours signed - by the collector, in pen and brown ink, c.: "J Talman" inscribed and numbered - by an unknown hand, in graphite, verso, l.r.: "T [?] 26631 / #6" [inventory number ?] NOTES - This elevation is for a rectangular frame for an altarpiece with a marble block, possibly the altar, within an arched surround. The altarpiece is flanked on each side by two Corinthian columns and is surmounted by an entablature with a bas-relief of a cherub, a broken pediment with volutes, and a cross.
