MS VI.10.: "Since the first half of the fifteenth century the Barbaros had had in their possession a codex of Greek musical treatises containing, besides those of Plutarch and Quintilianus, also Ptolemy’s De musica with Porphiry’s commentary (Palisca 1985, p. 27).
