Palladio, Andrea
- The young stonemason and later architect studied ancient Roman architecture during his several stays in Rome, the longest and – for his education surely most important – took place in the 1540s, when he accompanied Giangiorgio Trissino, his mentor, to Rome who himself there was in close contact with the Accademia, presumably a member of Leto's Accademia Romana before 1527, and took part in their sessions.
