Giorgio Vasari
- Vasari is included here even though he cannot be assumed to have been a member of the Accademia, but according to his own report in his Le vite de’ più eccelenti pittori scultori ed architetti (2nd edition, Firenze, 1568) the idea to this important book was born in a talk with Paolo Giovio during a meeting with Alessandro Farnese, Claudio Tolomei, Annibale Caro and Francesco Molza.
